I grew up as a competitive athlete, living an active life between the rink, the field, and the gym. That lifelong love of movement led me to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. During my undergraduate studies, I taught spin and group fitness classes, further deepening my passion for movement and teaching.
I was first introduced to Pilates through an activity credit course, expecting a light workout and an easy A. After a humbling first mat class, I was hooked and immediately set my sights on becoming a Pilates instructor.
After completing two mat certifications and a comprehensive contemporary certification, I found myself still searching for a deeper understanding of how the Pilates system and equipment truly fit together. That journey led me to bridge into a classical comprehensive certification with Authentic Pilates Canada (2024–26), where everything finally clicked.
I am a lifelong learner and continue to pursue ongoing education in movement and health science. In addition to my Pilates certifications, I hold a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a Master of Science in Exercise and Sport Science. I am also a Canadian Certified Pedorthist (C.Ped(C)) with a Diploma in Pedorthics from Western University, as well as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CSEP-CEP).
Outside the studio, I love running, cycling, keeping up with the latest running shoe technology, and spending time with my dog, Piper.

I discovered Pilates a few years ago while dealing with back pain and used it as a tool to heal, strengthen, and balance my body.
It brings me joy to watch clients find their optimal physical health and move with confidence in their bodies.
Outside of the studio, I am an avid reader and an enthusiastic hiker.

I hold two Comprehensive certifications (meaning I can teach on all the apparatus), totalling over 1,500 hours of study, observation and practice.
One from the Classical Pilates Centre in the UK (2019) and one from Authentic Pilates Canada (2021).
As a third generation teacher, my lineage can be traced straight to Joseph Pilates himself.
I am an educator at heart: prior to my Pilates training, I was a university professor for over 20 years. The requirements for both professions are remarkably similar: you need an eye for detail, an insatiable appetite for knowledge, a strict but caring attitude towards your students and a good sense of humour.
When I’m not in the studio, I can be found outdoors, downhill skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, biking and hiking with my family. Pilates makes all of these better, stronger and safer.
